Using a Dumb Phone
My phone, one that I am using for at least four to five years, broke for the third time. I am now discouraged to pay for its repair again, thinking that it will just break again and again. Now, glad to say, we have a spare phone. One that my dad uses before he bought a new one.
Now, I would not say that this is a really dumb phone, it is still Android. I can still use social media and do my blogging. The thing is, the phone was old, even older than the phone that broke. It is also slow. I cannot multitask, I cannot run intensive tasks, some apps were lagging, it is definitely behind than most phones today, even the midrange ones.
But using a dumb phone like this, helps me for some things. It helped me avoid social media, thing that I really wanted to do. I am also starting to utilize my tablet more for tedious tasks, designing pubmats and presentation, and writing academic papers, as it should be. You do not need to worry about any update or clutter, I am back to zero.
Do not get me wrong, I still cherish my old phone. There are some memories stored in it, one that lasted almost a quarter of my life. But using my current phone, I think my life is peaceful.
